Spice Mill Cottage is just off the main square of Kirkby Lonsdale, where there is a traditional market held every Thursday. The famous Devil’s Bridge walk starts just a few minutes from the cottage where you can enjoy a lovely walk along the riverside and over to Ruskin’s View or even a dip in the river during summer!

The south Lake District is only a 20 minute drive away and offers attractions such as the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall Gardens- this is all before you reach Windermere Lake! 25 minutes south on the M6 and you are in the Historic City of Lancaster or by the seaside town of Morecambe. Beach 19 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 180 yards.
