On warmer days, you can take advantage of the woodland views from the terrace. Perhaps relaxing with a morning coffee or a glass of your favourite tipple in the evening. Your beloved dog is also very welcome to join you at this stunning property; this is why the owners have included a height adjusted food/water bowl, quick drying dog towel and poo bags. An inn serving locally sourced food and real ales is literally on the doorstep. The area is also home to a multitude of country walks, or you can jump in the car and be in Bowness-on-Windermere in 10 minutes, Ambleside in 20 minutes, or Grasmere sporting an abundance of walks and Rydal Caves within 30 minutes.
This property is perfectly placed to enjoy all that Bownesss-on-Windermere has to offer, including some of the Lake District’s finest attractions. Take a cruise on Lake Windermere to Ambleside or across to Lakeside to enjoy a day at The Aquarium or hop on the steam train to Haverthwaite. Alternatively, try your hand at sailing and hire your own boat for a few hours. Paddleboarding is another popular activity on the lake, so if you have one, then it’s certainly worth bringing it along. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to Beatrix Potter World and the wonderful Art Deco Royalty Cinema. Some of the Lake District’s fantastic fells are a mere short drive away, as well as the small ’Alpine’ like village of Grasmere, where William Wordsworth is laid to rest at St. Oswald’s Church. If you’re a fan of gingerbread, a visit to the Grasmere Gingerbread shop is a must!
