Walking in this area is excellent, whether you opt for a gentle circular lakeside stroll or an energetic hike up the fells, all of which can be accessed right from your door. On an evening or chill out day why not try out the numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and small independent shops as well as the excellent supermarket. Windermere is well served by public transport, the train station being a short walk from the house and numerous bus services providing excellent access to the rest of southern Lakeland.
