Surrounded by stunning mountain views, Stalker’s Cottage is a traditional one-and-a-half storey cottage, which, in Victorian times, was occupied by the head stalker of the Estate. Situated within a working agricultural and sporting landscape, this is a very convenient property close to the River Spean and attractions such as Nevis Range, the North Face of Ben Nevis, the East Highland Way and the Killiechonate Woodlands Estate trails.
Stalker’s Cottage is an ideal family holiday base, sleeping five in one double, one twin and one single bedroom. The kitchen and living area is open plan with a wood burner and door to an outdoor seating area with picnic table. There is a shower room downstairs and a bathroom upstairs. Private parking and a large external store for mountain bikes, kit and equipment etc.
Killiechonate Estate is a 10-minute drive from Spean Bridge and its amenities. There are lots of walking and mountain bike routes on the Estate close by, with spectacular mountain, woodland and river views. Spean Bridge itself is surrounded by numerous trails and hikes, all of which are worth the trek! If you are a keen golfer, the village has its own golf club which is open to visitors. Fort William the ’outdoor capital of the UK’, Nevis Range Ski Centre and the world championship mountain bike track are approximately 10 miles’ drive.
This area of the Highlands is renowned for its spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife, where you can take a trip on the Jacobite steam train, visit stunning castles and gardens, sail to the beautiful island of Mull, take trips to the Small Isles or spend a day exploring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. For the outdoor enthusiast climbing, walking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, golf, horse riding and various watersports are available close by. Inverness, Loch Ness, Aviemore and the Isle of Skye are easily accessible by car. You can also explore parts of the North Coast 500, which includes Plockton, Applecross and Shieldaig, as some stunning places to visit. Beach 10½ miles. Pub and restaurant 5 miles.
