Experience boutique and luxurious glamping at Stargazer Glamping in Herefordshire. Straddling the England-Wales border and in the beautiful Wye Valley, you will be staying in a glorious location with misty mornings, shaded forests, valley meadows, mountain views, glorious sunsets, and star-filled skies. Set in the extensive, mature woods and gardens, are three separate glamping areas, each centred on a spacious Lotus Belle tent with its accompanying facilities.
The Mahal is the showstopper, an enormous tent which sleeps eight in four separate rooms and with a whopping 700 square feet of floor space. Wonderfully furnished and decorated throughout with a Scandi-rustic charm, with proper beds and rugs, soft robes, cut flowers, and comfortable sofas and armchairs in co-ordinated colours.
You won’t have to bring a thing as outside you are given your own fully equipped cabana-style kitchen, with sharp knives, all the pots and pans you could need, matching crockery and proper glassware, with sturdy dining table and chairs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the great outdoors. You are also provided with private, pristine, hot water showering facilities, a toilet, and a washing up area. For maximum comfort and boutique luxury enjoy the Finnish wood-fired hot tub, hammocks in wooded glades, comfy sun loungers and an impressive fire bowl, almost three-foot across. BBQ packs can also be ordered for the family from an award-winning local butcher (via the owner, please give 48 hours’ notice).
A communal, outdoor honesty bar with its own drink-stocked fridge, firepit and free to use pizza oven is a great place to relax, or feel free to potter around the well-tended grounds with rose-scented grassy paths, orchards, and vegetable and herb gardens. The site is extremely well thought out and playful, too, as the invitation to curl up for the night on an outdoor iron bed attest. Ask for a telescope and one will be provided. You can see the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains on a clear day, while starry nights show you the Milky Way in all its glory. Stargazer is everything that’s promised and more.
Staying at the Mahal will certainly be unique, gloriously upmarket and a relaxing base for hanging out with the family in one of Britain’s most cherished landscapes.
The Mahal can be booked with Orion (ref UK43388) and Andromeda (ref UK43386) to accommodate up to 18 guests.
