Day trips can be taken all over from Hadrian’s Wall in the west to Holy Island and Bamburgh in the north, stopping off at the stunning unspoilt beaches and little villages. Nearby Alnwick is famous for the castle used in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey and the cobbled streets with friendly cafés and shops all make for a great day out. Located in Swarland it is within easy reach of the A1, Swarland is a small village with a nice café in the local park, and the golf club house is open to all - dog friendly too!
