The Alachigh provides an award-winning, eco-friendly holiday in Carmarthenshire for a family or group of friends. Set in four acres of magical woodlands, this spacious canvas palace enjoys breath-taking views over the Teifi valley from peaceful setting amongst the trees. Nestled along the borders of three counties - Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, and Ceredigion - this secluded glamping oasis feels a million miles from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Here, the enchanting woodland and majestic rolling landscape is a quiet and tranquil paradise away from the crowds, perfect for a relaxing escape beneath the stars.
The Alachigh (pronounced Al-la-cheeg) is a large, elegant structure, traditionally used by the Shasavan, a nomadic tribe from northern Iran. The functional space is furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, wood-burning stove, colourful throws, and soft lighting, which creates a warming and laid-back atmosphere. Outside, enjoy your own private corner of countryside to relax and indulge in the panoramic views or simply enjoy the soothing sounds of birds and nature. Cook up a storm on the BBQ or put your feet up on the outdoor furniture - this is glamping in its purest form. Bring your family or friends, or simply a good book and bask in the uninterrupted tranquillity.
A short walk takes you to a variety of wonderful communal areas including showers, toilets, play area, a large fire-pit, and a log cabin for communal feasts or get-togethers. The family play area, with magical gardens and woodlands, steppingstones, totem poles, Buddha’s and secret fairy doors, hidden in the surrounding woods. Den building and discovering nature are encouraged. There are also relaxing treatments on offer to be booked in advance with the owner from the comfort of the yurt or Tipis.
