The Brambles is a warm and welcoming home attached to the owner’s main residence. It provides spacious and flexible accommodation with a private garden teaming with wildlife. On the ground floor there is a cosy living area with a wood burner. There are two comfortable sofas and armchairs. There is a television with Freeview channels and Wi-Fi available throughout the property. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped and has a table with seating for four. Leading on from the kitchen is a study area with a selection of local maps and leaflets. There is a large west facing conservatory with sofa and two chairs plus a long oak table and chairs - perfect for sitting and watching the array of wildlife that the owners attract to the garden by creating wild areas to encourage biodiversity together with a large lawned area. Outside there is a garden table and chairs plus a BBQ. Moving to the first floor there are two bedrooms. The spacious principal bedroom with dual aspect views over the gardens has a kingsize bed, fitted wardrobe space and the en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom has two single beds and an en-suite shower room.
One of the owners, Pip, has recently published her own cook book, and would be happy to cater to guests, by prior arrangement.
The Brambles is situated in Westergate which is a convenient mid-way spot between Arundel and Chichester. Perfectly located to explore the hills and beautiful villages of the South Downs National Park, this is an ideal location for walkers and countryside lovers. The National Trust village of Slindon is just 2 miles. With over 25 miles of public rights of way there are plenty of walks or cycle paths to suit all ages and abilities.
Cathedral city, Chichester is a short drive away and is a great destination for a day trip as the city centre is neatly enclosed within the ancient city walls. A short distance to the east of The Brambles lies Arundel which is a historic market town dominated by the symbolic castle and the rising spire of the cathedral. Other places to visit include, Goodwood House, WWT Arundel, Petworth House and Tangmere Aviation Museum. Having so much to see and do you will have to book another stay to fit it all in.
