This charming cottage, one of three situated at High Thorn Farm has living area upstairs to make the most of the wonderful views. To fully immerse yourself in the surroundings, and make the most of the outdoor living many come to the Lakes for, there are doors from each bedroom to a pleasant garden and seating area. There is also a large balcony extending from the open plan dining, living and kitchen area so you can fully enjoy the wonderful views. The double doors open wide to bring the outside in, this is helped by the solid wood floors and hand crafted wooden kitchen hewn by a local craftsman. When you want to retreat at night this cottage has the most fabulous antique beds, including a four poster, and wonderful en-suites for each room. Underfloor heating ensures you keep cosy and comfortable at all times. The Corn Store really will provide a memorable holiday retreat.

Stables are available for guests horses and there is easy access to plenty of bridleways. Keen fishermen will enjoy the challenge of encountering 24lb ‘High Thorn Henry’ whilst others guests find the lake offers a delightful picnic spot from which to enjoy the fishing as a spectator sport! One day free mixed coarse fishing at the owners fishing lake is included in your stay too. Extra days can also be arranged. Kennels are available for those who wish to bring their dog. Easily accessed by the M6 and only 5 minutes from Kendal it is an ideal location for exploring the near by fells, lakes and towns. The popular towns of Sedbergh and Kendal are both within easy reach. Sedbergh, a quaint old market town, sits on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Full of character with cobbled streets and historic buildings, Sedbergh is known as The Book Town and offers a treasure trove of second hand and collectors books. Kendal, close by and the Gateway to The Lakes, offers something for everyone. This historic market town is home to an eclectic mix of independent retailers, cosy pubs, international restaurants and pavement cafes.
