The wonderful beaches of Charmouth, West Bay, Sidmouth and Branscombe, as well as the curved pebble bay and cove at Beer, are only a short drive away. At Charmouth, only 20 minutes’ drive away, you can go fossil hunting on the sandy beach or take a stroll along the coastal path to take in the stunning views of this World Heritage Site. Around the bay is Lyme Regis (15 minutes) styled as ‘the Pearl of Dorset’, a charming seaside town with a sandy beach and a range of delightful shops and restaurants. The historic harbour offers sailing, sea kayak hire and boat/fishing trips where you can bring back fresh mackerel for dinner. The River Yarty flows nearby with footpaths along the banks.
