This spacious semi-detached cottage is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the historical city of Wells. It’s situated on the main road on the outskirts of Wells, as you approach from Glastonbury. You’ll be in the centre of the city in just over a mile where you’ll find the high street, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. A visit to Wells Cathedral and the Bishops Palace is a must. There is also a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool. Market days are Wednesday and Saturday and there are two supermarkets within 10 minutes’ walk.
Local places to visit include the mystical town of Glastonbury, famous for its ruined abbey, Rural Life Museum and Glastonbury Tor. It is worth the walk where the views from the top are spectacular across the Vale of Avalon. Street with its Clarks Village Outlet Shopping Centre. For a great day out visit Wookey Hole Caves and Paper Mill, or Cheddar Caves and famous Cheddar Gorge.
