The East Wing at Grove Hall is an entirely self-contained wing of the delightful owner’s beautiful country house home just outside the village of Bodfari making a great base for exploring the area. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has a clothesline to dry your clothes on. Most of the bedrooms are en-suite which is great if you are staying with a group of friends and from the lawn there are stunning views out over the surrounding countryside. Situated close to the Clwydian Range, there are walking opportunities close by including the popular Offa’s Dyke Path, and a lovely pub/restaurant in the village serving delicious food. The nearest town is Denbigh which offers a leisure centre and a full range of shops, whilst the pretty town of Ruthin is well worth exploring, particularly the Craft Centre, historic Gaol, and great selection of individual shops which seem to tumble down the streets leading away from St Peter’s Square.
There are sandy beaches a short distance away on the North Wales coast, whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno has much to offer the visitor including the Great Orme Tramway, UK’s longest cable car, the Bronze Age Copper Mines, Wales’ longest pier, and a great selection of shops and restaurants. The Venue Cymru Theatre also offers concerts and theatre productions all year round. The Snowdonia National Park is within easy reach with the stunning mountain ranges beckoning temptingly from the west. Why not drop in to one of Wales’ newest attractions, Surf Snowdonia in the Conwy Valley to watch some of the surfing action, or take a trip to Zip World Fforest at Betws-y-Coed, to try out some of the wonderful adrenaline attractions? Beach 12 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
