Set in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders, on a hillside above the rolling vistas of the Teviot Valley, this delightful, detached holiday cottage is set within the owner’s working establishment. The property has a Rayburn which means that it is always cosy and welcoming, and you can enjoy relaxing meals in the farmhouse kitchen. The lovely light and lofty living room, with its wood burner at one end and library at the other, or the sheltered suntrap patio, are ideal places to relax in. This is an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating area, with exhilarating walks in the surrounding farm and woodland. The Granary is also the home of an equine and canine stunt team, Les Amis D’Onno, who create extraordinary theatre all around the country. They offer a host of activities for cottage guests, from dog training to tailor-made photo shoots by arrangement. Jedburgh, 2 miles, has good pubs and restaurants, and along with Melrose and Kelso, has lots of historical interest and several great houses to visit. Take the train to Edinburgh from Tweedbank for a hassle-free day in the city. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
