The Little Old Shop is close to the centre of Spilsby perfect for a relaxing break for up to six people and you can take your dogs with you too. There are miles of lovely walks in the area, many from your own front door which takes you out into the countryside where you can enjoy the open views, and fresh air of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The market town of Spilsby offers a very good selection of shops, a supermarket, restaurants as well as cafés and tea rooms for refreshments. Once a week, there is also a popular market. The east coast and the seaside resort of Skegness which has been a popular destination for many generations is a 15 minute drive where you can enjoy all the traditional seaside attractions, and many miles of unspoilt beaches to stroll alongside the sea. Travel inland and within about a 30-minute drive you have the city of Lincoln; Horncastle, which is full of antique and collectables shops; the Georgian market town of Louth, well known for its many restaurants and food shops; and Cadwell Park Race Circuit, a must visit for motorsport enthusiasts.
Lincolnshire Aviation Centre is 10 minutes’ drive away where you can see Just Jane, the WWII Lancaster Bomber which does regular taxi runs up and down the runway and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby, just 25 minutes’ drive. After a day exploring, the village pub is a short stroll away with restaurants to enjoy in Spilsby. You can then return to your cottage for a cosy evening in front of the log burner.
