The Lodge, or to give it its official name of Duffus House Lodge, is the traditional gate lodge of Duffus House, the historic family seat of the Dunbar’s of Northfield and which was leased to the famous Gordonstoun school for 82 years. Built in the early 1800s, it is a traditional, single-storey, stone-built property complete with its own garage and fenced rear garden and part of the historic estate. The property has a good-sized, south-facing double bedroom complete with kingsize bed and a smaller single bedroom facing west. The living room has a beautiful wood burner, ideal for cosy evenings in front of the fire. We provide you with complimentary logs from the estate for use on the wood burner and for the firepit in the garden. There is a separate utility, and the kitchen has been recently renovated, there is a modern shower room with fluffy Egyptian cotton towels and the two bedroom have crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen to aid a good night’s sleep.
