The Old Bakery is a cosy bolthole in the quaint village of North Cave in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This historic cottage offers a couple a perfect retreat from which to explore the stunning countryside and coastal villages this part of Yorkshire is famous for.
Step inside and find a spacious kitchen diner with the original bread oven, feature fireplace, exposed stone walls and beams. For all of your romantic meals, the well-equipped kitchen is sure to provide everything you could need, perfect for an evening at the dining table when you’re not out sampling the local delicacies. A small pantry offers additional storage, and this is where you’ll find the fridge/freezer. Relax in the evening in the living room and enjoy a Netflix film on the large Smart TV. The ground floor is completed by a house shower room. Retire in the evening up the steep cottage stairs to the beautifully presented kingsize bedroom.
Please note that the stairs at this property are very steep and narrow as this is a 17th-century building, so this may not be suitable for all.
To the outside is a small, enclosed courtyard complete with seating, a perfect spot for an early morning coffee or a delicious alfresco romantic evening meal. Explore the local area by foot, with its selection of pubs to take your pick from for a traditional Sunday lunch and stock up on your holiday essentials at the local village shop. Explore the local area and enjoy visiting the Humber Bridge and Normanby Hall Country Parks, and wander the cobbled streets of the vibrant town of Beverley which offers a host of independent shops and restaurants. Choose from several golf courses or head over to the coast and marvel at the wildlife at Spurn Point Nature Reserve and RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Cycle the many lanes on the Yorkshire Wolds or visit Hull and book tickets at one of two theatres. A little further away are the Lincolnshire Wolds and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Make The Old Bakery the base for your romantic breakaway.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
