Situated in a small, peaceful village, between York and Scarborough, this single-storey, cosy cottage has been carefully presented to the Visit England 4* gold standard. It is an ideal year-round destination, with its own private garden and barbeque, perfect for summer days, and a roaring log fire for winter evenings. There are far reaching countryside views towards the Yorkshire Wolds and just 1-mile away from the cottage, in the neighbouring village of Rillington, there are two local pubs, a post office and general store, together with an award-winning fish and chip shop. There are numerous walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area. Popular local attractions include Flamingo Land, Eden Camp and the stately homes at Castle Howard and Scampston Hall. Visit the traditional market towns at Malton and Pickering and from here visitors can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip through the North Yorkshire Moors, to the fishing port of Whitby. The coastal resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby are all easily accessible and the ancient city of York is not to be missed, with its iconic Minster and abundance of historic buildings. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
