Masham is a bustling market town with large square hosting an outdoor market each Wednesday and Saturday, surrounded by various shops, pubs and tea rooms and overlooked by St Mary’s Church. Also home to Masham Gallery and two famous breweries, Theakston’s and Black Sheep, each complete with visitor centre, brewery tours and shop. Nestling on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National park, the area is surrounded by excellent footpath walks along the river bank and moorland, ensuring the perfect destination for the outdoor enthusiast.
Attractions in the surrounding areas include Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Thorpe Perrow Arboretum, Jerveaux Abbey, racecourses at Ripon, Catterick, Thirsk and York, tennis courts, golf and horse riding. Shops 150 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
