The site offers eco-friendly, alternative accommodation - perfect for a glamping escape beneath the stars. The well thought out glamping site sits on the edge of the tiny village of Penuwch, a picturesque hamlet in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. Only a short walk from the site, guests can visit The Hungry Ram - a brilliant Gastro Pub serving a great range of food and delicious veggie options too!
The beautifully presented accommodation - a spacious yurt and a cosy shepherd hut are clean and comfortable. Kept lovely and warm by wood-burning stoves, even in the winter months. Handmade furniture, from the beds to the worktops help create a lovely, homely charm. The site sits alongside a small river, which fills the air with a symphony of flowing water, interspersed by the gentle chatter of birdsong. At night, snuggle around the fire outside and marvel at the array of stars in this dark sky location.
The popular seaside town of Aberaeron is less than 10 miles away with a variety of other food options, small harbour and abundance of beaches to visit. Inland, Tregaron is 6 miles to the East, while to the Northwest, the famous university town of Aberystwyth is around a 30 minutes’ drive. For walkers and sightseers, the Cambrian Mountains are a mystical expanse of uninterrupted wilderness that sits only a few miles East of Tregaron and spans the full length of the county. Snowdonia National Park can also be explored from here, which is about an hours’ drive along the scenic country roads.
The Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire are also within reach and are well worth a visit. The immaculate stretch of Cardigan Bay coastline has a multitude of beaches to explore from Llangrannog and New Quay in the South all the way up to Aberdyfi and Borth in the North with a huge number of hidden coves and glorious coastal path in between. If you’re looking for a calming sanctuary with scenic views and plenty of natural charm this glamping site is just the ticket.
The Shire (QU7534) and The Villager (QU7533) can be booked together to accommodate upto 4 guests.
