Littleborough is surrounded by natural beauty, with many attractions within an hour’s drive. Nearby Hollingworth Lake is a much-loved beauty spot where you can enjoy all the cafe bars and restaurants only 10 min drive or 40 min walk away on the canal or enjoy a picnic, day of fishing, water sports or relaxing stroll around the picturesque lake. For those interested in history, the Rochdale Pioneers Museum is a must see, as it documents the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement. You can take a walk in the Pennine hills which is direct from your front door or explore the neighbouring charming towns of Todmorden and artsy Hebden Bridge.
A scenic drive from Hebden Bridge over the moors takes you to Haworth where the Parsonage Museum commemorates the famous Bronte family who lived there. There’s the Peak District National Park to the south, the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the north and with direct train links from Littleborough to both Leeds and Manchester you can be assured there will always be something to keep you busy and entertained.
