Four of these properties form a little terrace together, Bel House (ref UKC14) used to be the lodge keepers house and is attached to Mullins House (ref UKC2971). Cuthbert House (ref UK7026) and Blakey House (ref UK7027) are beside one another and are connected with a door, should you wish to book them together. These charming holiday retreats are period properties oozing character, with cosy wood burners and original features.
The Stables (ref UKC12) and Priory Cottage (ref UKC13) are down a private drive. Renovated throughout, The Stables nestles in a stunning setting next to the River Coquet adjacent to the priory and its grounds. It is ideal for family and friends. Priory Cottage is attached to The Stables, a cosy property sleeping two people with its own entrance and seating area. Retaining much charm and character, it’s the perfect cottage for couples. The terrace of four properties is also suitable for family or friends, with its own south-facing gardens and separate entrance. Along with the barns and some outbuildings, they make up Brinkburn Home Farm, where the owner’s office and home is located.
The cottages each provide complimentary dressing gowns, toiletries and welcome packs, making your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. They are set within 35-acres of private woodland and countryside, with access to woodland walks directly from the door and river fishing, 500 yards away and charged at £20 per day. Dedicated off road parking is available for each property.
These unusual, historical properties provide the perfect getaway for families and friends, and celebration packages for birthdays and anniversaries are available, including a private chef, pampering and beauty packages, all bespoke, on request and at cost arranged directly with the owner. The priory is managed by English Heritage and is open between 10am and 5:30pm Thursday-Monday between Easter and October. When it’s closed, guests are welcome to wander the grounds at their leisure.
Located in the heart of Northumberland, Brinkburn Cottages are perfect for exploring the Coquet Valley, the Dark Skies of the National Park, the coast with beautiful golden beaches, many castles and historic landmarks. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2¾ miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
