You can enjoy the local attractions while staying in a charming English village with a rich history. The city of Bath is a 15-minute drive (or catch the bus from the village) and needs no introduction. If you want to enjoy all this world heritage site has to offer while staying out of the tourist bustle in a quintessential English village, The Studio is the perfect spot. It has its own dramatic history to investigate, including the site of the Pitchfork Rebellion in 1686. The stunning George Inn next door is one of the country’s oldest and has been the resting place of queens and kings dating back to the 15th Century. Other world-class attractions nearby include Longleat Safari Park, Stonehenge, Glastonbury and National Trust’s Stourhead. Don’t miss other places of interest that we locals love including the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Bruton, Iford Manor’s Peto Garden, and the pretty market town of Bradford on Avon. There are countless other National Trust properties, quaint villages, Neolithic sites and ancient churches to explore.
