Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. Central beach hosts a firework spectacular each Wednesday (weather permitting) during the summer season. The town centre has a shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets and a train station close by.
Quayside is home to the Time and Tide Museum and Nelson’s Museum. Nearby, 2½ miles, is the stadium for grey hound racing, stock car racing and horse racing. The famous Norfolk Broads is just 11 miles away, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways. There are daily river and boat trips and riverside eateries.
