Ideally situated for exploring Torbay, The South Hams and Dartmoor with its stunning coastline, sandy beaches and the natural beauty of the National Park. The Vinery oozes character and charm as it was originally built in the 1400s but more recently having been completely renovated to an exceptional standard. You approach the property via the lovely landscaped front garden which catches the evening sun and with its seating areas where you can relax after a busy day sightseeing. The Vinery features a stylish open plan kitchen and living space, two bedrooms and two bathrooms; you will not be short of home comforts during your stay. Elegantly furnished in calming whites, French greys and linen hues, the open plan space is perfect to relax and unwind in and we kindly ask that dogs be kept downstairs. Spend your evening in the well furnished living area, which has a large corner sofa, Smart TV with Netflix and DVD player. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your self catering holiday. There is also a dining area with two bespoke monks benches to sit four comfortably. There are two beautifully furnished bedrooms; the first with a double bed and an en-suite shower-room with a large walk-in shower. The second has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. There is private allocated parking for one car with additional on-road parking available.
There is plenty to keep you entertained in the resorts of Torbay, including a wide range of restaurants, shops and nearby local attractions like Paignton Zoo. Bovey Tracey ‘The Gateway To Dartmoor’ is a short 11-mile drive away with its famous ponies, dramatic landscapes and heather clad tors. The Vinery is also within easy walking of The John Musgrove Heritage Trail (35 miles rambling trail) and the recreation parks of the village for dog walking and the newly appointed children’s playground. The village has a number of very useful amenities such as an inn (3 minutes’ walk away) which was the first in Devon to be listed in the Michelin Pub Guide. There is also a shop, post office, hairdresser and newsagent with local buses running to the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Totnes approximately 3 miles away from the cottage.
