Step inside and be greeted by a beautiful beach scene, behind which is the large living/dining room which offers stunning sea views. The settees are well placed to enjoy some warmth from the electric fire during the cooler months, but also provide the perfect spot to sit with a coffee or glass of wine and just enjoy the beautiful view. One of the settee’s doubles as a sofa bed providing extra sleeping for two. The dining table sits to the rear of the room and provides plenty of seating for eight. The kitchen is bright and airy and also offers sea views. With lots of cupboards to store your holiday essentials and plenty of work top space, the chef in the family will enjoy rustling up a family breakfast or a delicious home cooked evening meal. A large archway takes you through into a sun room with additional comfortable seating and more sea views! On the ground floor can also be found a twin and double bedroom, along with the house bathroom.
Take the glass panelled staircase to the first floor and here you will find the master double bedroom. The vaulted ceiling and low doorway leading through to an en-suite bathroom really add to its character. Fold open the Velux window and step outside onto a small hidden balcony; the sea view from up here is simply stunning. A perfect spot for an early morning coffee! To the front of the property is a pretty cottage garden with borders packed with summer flowers. To the rear is an enclosed, dog-friendly garden with neatly trimmed lawn and seating, perfect for an al fresco breakfast.
A short walk down the hill is where you will find a quaint dog-friendly café and the beach is just beyond. A short drive away is the pretty seaside town of Filey and the harbour port of Scarborough. Both towns offer lovely walks along promenades and a plethora of seaside attractions, tea rooms, restaurants and shops. A visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a must whilst staying at Tigh Na Mara, or why not travel a little further inland and enjoy the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. This holiday cottage will leave you with ever lasting memories and is the ideal base for your seaside holiday.
