Top Deck is a three-bedroom bungalow situated in the pretty fishing village of Gorran Haven between Mevagissy and St Austell on the North Coast of Cornwall. It is a large beautifully presented home overlooking the sea and valley. It has a private garden with stone-built barbecue and large sun trapped deck area. All on the ground floor with designer kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms and large living room with exceptional views.
Ideal for families, the nearest beaches of Gorran Haven and Little Perhaver are just a 2-minute walk from the property. The owner has supplied an abundance of toys, buckets, spades etc as well as beach towels. Gorran Haven is better for young children as it is small and sandy with a café selling hot food, hot and cold drinks, ice-cream and has easy access. At low tide you can walk from one beach to the other, but at high tide you need to climb steep steps to get off Little Perhaver. There is a pub near, and for those who are hungry, you can buy very tasty fish and chips. Other beaches include Carne Beach, Portholland, Portloe and Vault Beach.
If you enjoy walking, follow the Gorran Haven to Mevagissey walk and admire the rugged coastline and wildlife. There are plenty of places to visit within a short drive from Gorran Haven, including the famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Mevagissey is another fishing harbour very pretty with cobbled streets, cafés and pubs and small gift shops great for a day, out or an evening stroll. St Austell has everything you would expect from a large town with a great play area for children. After long days out, come back and relax in the garden, admire the beautiful countryside views and enjoy al fresco dining. The barbecue is great as it has plenty of room for ingredients whilst cooking, and you can choose to eat on the decking or on the patio; you can even pick your own herbs from the herb garden next to the decking and next to the barbecue.
