Mill Cottage (UKC3374), Gate Cottage (UKC3375), and Manor Cottage (UKC3782) have a first-floor open-plan living area, Paddock Cottage (UKC3783) is good for a larger family or a group of friends, Mill Apartment (UKC3784) is situated on the first floor and Croyde (UKC3785) is a first-floor studio, perfect for a couple. Within the extensive grounds, shared amenities include an indoor heated swimming pool (April to October), a small gym area and a games room. There is also a formal garden area, fields perfect for games or a BBQ, and a small poultry collection where you can see chickens, geese, turkeys, emus, and peacocks.
Nearby Braunton is the gateway to some of North Devon’s finest beaches including Saunton and Croyde. At Woolacombe, you can enjoy the sandy beaches or learn to surf at one of the many surf schools in the area. Close by are the Braunton Burrows dunes designated an Area of Special Scientific Interest. The nearby town of Ilfracombe has a good range of shops and amenities. It has a bustling harbour area where fishing and sea safari trips can be arranged. Watermouth Castle and Exmoor Zoo are just a short journey away. There is also the famous Tunnels Beach area.
For guests wanting to explore a little further afield, there is plenty to do for all ages in the area including Clovelly, the lighthouse, the quay at Hartland, the Big Sheep and Milky Way amusement parks, RHS Garden Rosemoor at Torrington, cycling on the Tarka Trail or crabbing at Appledore quay. The regional town of Barnstaple has plenty of shops, a pannier market, restaurants, a cinema, and a theatre - well worth a visit. Trimstone Manor is also within reach of Exmoor National Park. There is horse riding, quad biking, and golf all available locally—beach 3 miles, shops 3 miles, and on-site lounge bar.
