For the walking or cycling enthusiasts, there is the traffic-free Mawddach trail (a former railway line) running alongside the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. From Dolgellau to Barmouth, Coedy Brenin and Dyfi Bike Park provide excellent mountain opportunities over some of the most challenging terrain in the UK.
