This comfortable and cosy bungalow has a very large, attractive and completely enclosed garden. It is a perfect base to visit the coast or the Yorkshire Wolds. Waves and Wolds is superbly situated in the peaceful and picturesque village of Sewerby, just opposite Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Sewerby has beautiful clifftop walks and views, and a beach. The owner has provided a very comfortable property with all modern amenities. There are many artworks including hanging weavings, paintings, and driftwood sculptures. The rear of the garden has a newly developed covered patio area where you can enjoy the amazing sunsets, and you can also see the horses in the adjoining field.
Sewerby Hall and Gardens are well worth a visit with lots of activities for adults and children. The walled garden is perfect for a summer evening stroll. As well as the house there is a café and a small zoo for the children. From Sewerby Hall you can catch the popular land train that takes you to Bridlington. You can walk along the cliff top to Bridlington and see the pod of dolphins swimming in the bay or walk to Dane’s Dyke nature reserve and beach very easily. If you are feeling adventurous you can walk to Flamborough to see the seal colony, or to Bempton RSPB reserve to see thousands of seabirds. There are golf and fishing opportunities nearby. Horse riding is also available nearby.
Bridlington is a seaside resort with large sandy beaches. It still has a very busy fishing harbour where you can see the catch brought in on a daily basis. The Spa Theatre is on the seafront and is home to many international acts throughout the year. Bridlington also boasts an excellent leisure centre with swimming pools, splash zone, gymnasium and climbing wall. There are many different boat trips from the harbour.
The resorts of Filey and Scarborough are to the north and the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away. Danes Dyke Nature Reserve can be reached on foot and is a wonderful place to explore. Beach 1 mile. Shop 1 mile. Pub, and restaurant 500 yards.
