The cottage was so pretty sitting at the end of a private terrace and gravel path. There is no parking on site but I was able to park in the Catholic Church up the road and get a note from the owners to put in my car. The cottage was very clean and incredibly well stocked with just about everything. It was the best stocked kitchen we’ve stayed in! The owners had also thoughtfully provided a pint of milk and packet of biscuits. The stairs are steep but there is a solid hand rail each side. There is a large step up from the main bedroom to the single room and from the landing to the bathroom- and very low ceilings! Sadly the gas fire in the lounge was broken but the cottage was very warm, as the heating ran all day. Others have mentioned that the shower was a bit of a dribble but we found it adequate. The cottage was in a great location 5 mins walk from the centre of Stow, very clean and comfortable and we had a lovely winter break. We would definitely return.

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage. Our first time was in 2021. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk in to the centre of Stow. The area is quaint and quiet so makes for a relaxing break. The cottage is very well equipped and ideal for those wanting to cook as absolutely everything has been thought of in the kitchen. Unfortunately several years on from our first visit we felt the property is suffering from some wear and tear and a refresh would serve it very well. We also found the property to be very dusty this time, full of cobwebs and high level cleaning standards somewhat lacking which was definitely not the case in 2021. We stayed between Christmas and new year and were disappointed that there was no tree or even any decorations in the cottage. We were excited on the cold Dec evenings to use the fire but it was broken. I’d like to see the cottage benefit from a lick of paint, some TLC and better cleaning if we were to stay again.
