Bath and Bristol are both less than 10 miles away, and also within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice, and Castle Combe was the backdrop for War Horse.
Experience the Georgian city of Bath, only 7 miles away by car, with its famous architecture, Jane Austen Centre and thermal spa (Thermae), the city offers something for everybody. The Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent, famous Pulteney Bridge and the Christmas markets are among the city’s many must see attractions. Nearby National Trust properties can be found within a short drive, as well as other stately homes. Head to Longleat Safari Park, or visit Avebury and Stonehenge, all under an hour away.
