Glaisdale is a quaint picturesque village on the edge of the National Park, offering miles of tumbling hills of heather and ancient woodlands. There are some wonderful rural pubs serving hearty home cooked meals in the surrounding villages, the perfect reward after a hike or cycle. If you wish to enjoy the great outdoors you are in the perfect location. The coastline from Saltburn-by-the-Sea to Filey, is a place of rugged beauty, with many isolated fishing villages such as Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay all just a short drive away. Out on the moors are the picture perfect villages of Hutton Le Hole, Pickering or Helmsley, with its castle and gardens all waiting to be explored. The property is situated just 12 miles from the town of Whitby, with its year round events and festivals such as the Goth Weekend and the Steampunk Weekend.
