Sitting in the corner of a quiet residential area in the very sought-after small market town of Reepham, Zen Harmony Retreat really couldn’t be in a better position for those wishing to fully explore all that Norfolk has to offer. It was previously a much-loved home, and home is the right word here, as you will feel relaxed and just where you’re supposed to be from the moment you arrive. With two bedrooms sleeping three, this property is perfect for a couple, small families or two friends travelling together. And along with a comfortable sitting room with original Ercol furniture, there is also a conservatory and lovely garden to relax in, too.
There are some great places to eat and drink easily reachable on foot, but jump in the car and you really can enjoy fantastic days out in every direction as it is almost equidistant from the stunning coastline, the beautiful Broads and the very fine city of Norwich, all of which can be reached in around half an hour. Head to Cromer and stroll along the prom or have lunch on the pier. Then head west to Blakeney for a spot of crab lining, or Wells-next-the-Sea and sit watching the pretty little boats bobbing on the quay. Discover Wroxham, often considered to be the heart of the Norfolk Broads, and join a tour or charter a day launch and be captain for the day.
For a change of pace, head to Norwich, explore the Norman castle and numerous museums, maybe taking the time to shop ‘til you drop in the Lanes or at the award-winning open-air market. There is of course a lot of history in the area, too, and the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, North Norfolk Heritage Railway and the Blickling and Holkham Estates are all within easy reach. And there is wildlife galore around too with Sheringham Park, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and RSPB Cley Marshes and lots of coastal and Broadside walks all providing great places to explore the local habitat and discover the migrating birds. Then after a busy day head home to Zen Harmony Retreat where you can be sure of a great night’s sleep. And relax!
