Zion Chapel is in the heart of the Forest of Dean, perfect for those wanting to explore the beautiful surrounding areas that the forest has to offer. The ceiling of the chapel is accessed via a spiral staircase and has two single sofa beds; the views over the village and surrounding countryside from here are just fabulous. The large patio area with furniture and a swing seat, the perfect place for relaxing in with a glass of something chilled, and there is also and enclosed patio to the rear of the property.
Walks can be enjoyed straight from the property with immediate access into the forest. You won’t get bored exploring local forests, whether cycling through the many trails or admiring the views on foot. You might like to jump on the train and head 45 minutes away to Cardiff for shopping and dining out. For a great day out, be sure to visit Gloucester Cathedral, a must see for Harry Potter fans! Or for a change of pace enjoy some shopping in Cheltenham or Bristol. Other outdoor activities include canoeing at Symonds Yat, walking through Clearwell Caves hidden under the forest floor and Go Ape and Segways Beechenhurst.
