This beautiful Georgian town lies close to the coast, in the west, but is often overlooked. Much of the town can, and should, be explored on foot. A short walk from town is Holt Country Park, a beautiful native broadleaf and Scots Pine woodland, perfect for taking your canine companion for a country walk. The Poppy Line is a fun day out aboard a traditional steam railway that runs between Sheringham and Holt and explores the beautiful North Norfolk coast and countryside. There are over 90 miles of coastline, including Britain's best-voted beach at Holkham Bay. North Norfolk has a spectacular coastline with long stretches of pristine sandy beaches, coastal villages and an interior of rolling hills, wildlife and pretty towns and villages.
